Trap shooting is one of several moving target disciplines. There are single and doubles trap. This refers to the numbers of clay pigeons presented to the shooter from a single thrower. There are five shooting stations that are in an arch 16 yards from the thrower house. This give each station a different angle presentation to the targets. The clay pigeon flight is away from the shooter in a constant arch and speed. The machine oscillates left and right releasing the pigeons between to white stakes each 22.5 degrees both left and right from the center line on the throwing machine. Each person shoots 5 times from each of the stations. One round consists of 25 clay pigeons.
