CMP High Power Rifle Instruction

The Pemi is hosting a service rifle clinic this spring, sponsored by the Shooting Sports Program Committee (SSPC) of Gun Owners of New Hampshire and sanctioned by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).
The clinic is open to all persons thirteen years of age and over. Attendance at this one-day clinic will meet one of the requirements leading to the direct purchase of an M1 rifle (Garand) from the CMP.
All participants are directed to report no later than 0800 hours. The classroom portion of the clinic will commence promptly at 0830 hours. Students will receive instruction covering all aspects of U.S. service rifles and National Rifle Association high power competitive shooting. A non-refundable fee of $35.00 for students age 18 and older must be received before any seat will be reserved. No fee for students under age 18 but reservations are required. Make checks payable to the SSPC. This fee covers target and ammunition costs.
Students attending the clinic need to bring the following:
„h eye and ear protection
„h lunch and drinks
„h suitable ground cloth or rug to lie on
„h a pair of gloves made of any material
„h clothing for warm or cold weather, including rain suit or poncho if the weather dictates
This is a full day of training which will go until about 1800 hours.
The CMP has sanctioned this clinic, therefore the following rifles are permitted: US M1, M14 (or M1A), M16 (AR15 and the like), 1903 (type), 1917 and Mauser (type). A limited number of rifles are available for student use on a first come, first serve basis. Ammo issue is .30- 06, 7.62 NATO, 5.56 (or .223); all other ammo must be student-supplied.
